About the Firm
Business does not stop at the border.
Merova International advises companies on entering new markets and building the local operations to support long-term growth.
Expanding abroad puts a series of connected decisions in front of management: which country and on what commercial logic, which legal and tax structure, which partners and advisers, at what cost and over what timeframe, who runs the business locally and which functions move across from the existing organisation.
We support those decisions with evidence and then implement them on the ground with your team, working alongside lawyers, accountants, banking contacts and sector specialists we have worked with in each country.
Who We Are
Founded by operators who have scaled businesses across borders.
The firm was set up by entrepreneurs and senior operators, not career advisers. Our partners have founded and run companies, raised and invested capital, set up entities in unfamiliar countries, hired and managed local teams, and carried personal responsibility for the result.
That experience spans the full lifecycle: securing first customers, building the commercial and operating platform, cross-border structuring and financing, scaling headcount, and preparing businesses for investment or sale.
It shapes how we work. Analysis is written to be acted on, recommendations carry an implementation path, and our performance is judged by the operation we leave behind.
Evidence. Structure. Execution.
We are engaged where the decision becomes an operating business.
Our Principles
Accountable
We do not recommend anything we would not be willing to implement ourselves, and we take responsibility for delivery.
In market
Every project is supported by lawyers, advisers and operators based in the country — not run remotely from a template.
Proportionate
We scope the work to the decision in front of you, from a single workstream to a full set-up programme.
Measured over time
We judge our work by how the operation performs a year after handover, not by whether a report was delivered.
International in scope. Local in execution.
Regulation, labour markets, business culture and supplier options differ a great deal from one country to the next. The legal structure, the partners and the operating set-up have to be built for the market you will actually trade in.
So we combine cross-border expansion experience with people already established locally: lawyers, accountants, banking relationships and sector specialists we have worked with in each market.
Between the decision and the operation.
Tell us the market you are looking at and the operation you want to establish. We will set out what it involves, in what order, and at what cost.
